Robert Schaefer has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Breece Hill LLC since April, 2005. He came from the position of COO in Breece Hill LLC. Schaefer has previously worked for Hertrich Development and Digital Equipment Corporation. Over his 24-year career, Robert Schaefer has established a broad experience in Engineering, Operations, Sales and Marketing and has achieved solid results in the aforementioned companies.
Since becoming President and CEO of Breece Hill, Robert Schaefer has been driving the company's success through strong product development, successful OEM agreements, and strategic partnerships. By doing so, he has changed the company from one that provides tape automation to a supplier of complex data protection solutions.
Robert Schaefer graduated from M.I.T. with an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering in 1983, from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a Masters Degree in Control Systems in 1993 and is a Professional Engineer in the State of Colorado.
Steve S. Scott, VICE PRESIDENT OF ENGINEERING
Steve brings more than 20 years of engineering experience in the field of systems and storage with expertise in the broadcast industry and Information Lifecycle Management (ILM). Prior to joining the Breece Hill executive staff, Steve was Director of the Engineering Test and Integration Group at Avalon Consulting Group, a broadcast software company purchased by EMC. Upon joining EMC, he grew the organization by 250% and eventually integrated the division into Legato’s ILM division. Prior to EMC, Steve was a Senior Integration Consultant at StorageTek focusing on hardware and software solutions for the Broadcast market. At StorageTek, he built and deployed systems that uniquely met the storage needs of the entertainment industry.
Steve is a 20 year veteran with the US Navy and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Business from the University of Maryland along with technical certificates in Six Sigma, Software Quality and ISO 9000.
