BREECE HILL AND FRONT PORCH DIGITAL COLLABORATE TO PROVIDE DIGITAL ARCHIVE IN A BOX SOLUTION
Partners Integrate To Capture Entry Level Broadcast Archive Market Opportunities
Louisville, CO and Boulder, CO, USA, September 22, 2004 — Breece Hill LLC of Louisville, CO, USA, and Front Porch Digital (OTCBB: FPDI) of Boulder, CO, USA today jointly announced that will they combine Front Porch’s market-leading DIVArchive archive management application with Breece Hill’s iStoRA 4000 hardware platform. The new “Archive in a Box” storage solution is ideally positioned to meet the start-up digital archive needs of small to medium broadcast facilities.
The new Front Porch Digital “Archive in a Box” product was successfully demonstrated at the International Broadcast Conference in Amsterdam earlier this month and received strong interest from Broadcasters attending the show. The iStoRA 4000 from Breece Hill is an integrated hardware appliance combining a Microsoft Windows-based server, up to 2.4 terabytes of SATA RAID disk, and up to 5 terabytes of tape storage in a single 4U rack mount enclosure.
When combined with the DIVArchive software the iStoRA appliance provides a complete cost effective archive solution in a single package. With more than 75 reference sites worldwide, DIVArchive is the leading storage management software among European and Asian broadcasters.
“We have been careful to select a partner that exhibits the same concern and compassion for their customers as we do at Breece Hill,” said Jon Cheney, Breece Hill’s United Kingdom Sales Director. “DIVArchive is an excellent complement to the Breece Hill iStoRA 4000 appliance, and Front Porch Digital is known for its excellent product quality and customer support services. We believe our integrated solution is very compelling for first time buyers of entry level digital archive projects.”
“DIVArchive is the proven choice of the largest media brands with the most complex requirements, but we see more opportunities emerging with independent and regional broadcast stations,” said Rino Petricola, managing director and vice president, Front Porch Digital International. “Our work with Breece Hill is an aggressive step toward capturing more of the entry level digital archive market. DIVArchive is then ideally positioned to provide broadcasters with a scalable upgrade path as their needs grow and evolve. I believe our success at the highest end of the market will add credibility to our marketing efforts as we pursue this new segment.”
